The Power of Peptides

As a practicing dermatologist, it is important to know which ingredients are able to improve the overall look of the skin and which ingredients are just "hype" marketed as a miracle in a bottle.

It is also imperative to understand the structure of the skin, and use demonstrated science to garner effective results.

With new skin care ingredients and products being constantly introduced to the market, it can become overwhelming to understand what these ingredients can do for your skin.

Peptides are one of the most promising discoveries in skincare in recent years. Peptides are chains of amino acids that are the building blocks of proteins in the skin.

When they are in a short chain of amino acids, they are able to penetrate the top layer of our skin and send signals to our cells to let them know how to function. One important protein in our skin is collagen. Proteins are the fundamental building blocks of skin.

Without peptides, skin doesn’t remain intact and the result is loss of firmness, appearance of wrinkles, texture changes, and skin that doesn’t bounce back as it once did.

What’s so exciting about peptides is that abundant research has clearly shown that each of them works in very specific ways to target an exact skincare need. They also teach skin to do what's required to help revitalize these building blocks, which can help revive aging skin.

Now that we understand the power of peptides, where can we get find them? Peptides are normally found in topical skincare ingredient and most often categorized as Anti-Aging.

When skin care peptides are applied topically, your skin "thinks" that it's a collagen break down product and that your body needs to manufacture new collagen. So you can successfully minimize wrinkles and give your skin a more youthful appearance with the application of skin care peptides that trigger the production of collagen.

It is therefore important to use a good peptide wrinkle cream. When choosing to use peptides for your skin care routine, you have to be diligent about applying the ingredients regularly. Most people do not see results from their peptide products for at least one month or more, and in some cases, the results do not show for up to 3 months!

Unfortunately, many people stop using the product after just a few weeks. Some people don’t notice instant results because they are too gradual. Be patient! Results will come!

It sure was nice to know that peptides can help your skin to have a firmness that can prevent the appearance of wrinkles. My daughter is doing a research about skin care for her school project. She said that she wanted to create a skin care product that can make its users look youthful, so I’ll make sure to buy research peptides to help her. http://www.maximpeptide.com/
